Northern New England is in the beginning phases of reopening their workplaces and other public spaces. With this next step in facing the COVID-19 pandemic will come added stress and the need to embrace changes in our everyday life. To assist in acclimating to a new world, please join SMPS Northern New England for a 1-hour mindful and resiliency session led by Elizabeth Ross Holmstrom, Founder of Mindful Employer.

    Session Description:
Your actions today with your clients will be long remembered. In times of crisis, emotional intelligence and resiliency practices set leaders apart and build stronger relationships for the future. For your customers, communication equals empowerment, and listening is more important than solving. Through storytelling and with compelling data, Elizabeth will review a framework to incorporate mindfulness and resiliency practices into any workflow to strengthen your wellbeing and your relationships at work and at home. She will focus on 4 proven methods: training, normalizing, communication, and practice.

Scientific MRI studies show that in just 8 weeks - before the end of this pandemic - new habits can be established and the health benefits will be felt. This is the perfect time to focus on self-care and relationship building to support the work environments your customers are facing. Building emotional awareness and resiliency is exercise for the brain. Think of it as an antibiotic. We know the practices exist, and if we don’t try it’s like leaving the medicine on the counter.

    About Our Speaker:
Elizabeth Ross Holmstrom is a master facilitator and accomplished program developer. She has over 20 years of experience in business development and wellness program implementation. She managed national account partnerships in the health insurance industry and served as VP, Senior Health and Wellness Manager at a national bank with 26,000 employees.

Elizabeth transitioned from corporate wellbeing to focus on the root cause of problems that she witnessed every day – stress-related illness. After years of research on the history of work and health care trends, she discovered the power of pause and the neuroscientific research supporting mindfulness. She designed and implemented three pilot programs and the exceptional results led to the launch of Mindful Employer. Since 2016, she has brought entry–level mindful training to workplaces and individuals. This work led to the development of the Employee Experience Pulse Check - a survey and conversation framework to build mindful companies; and the new Mindful Employer Designation, awarded by your employees.
