Integrating technology. Adapting aging buildings for modern use. Incorporating energy-efficient and sustainable features in new construction. College and university campuses are adapting to these and other trends -- oftentimes influenced by the needs and interests of current and prospective student bodies.

Please join SMPS NNE for an in-depth discussion with a panel of esteemed campus planners, during which we’ll talk about how these trends are impacting the evolution of higher education facilities. Our panelists will discuss how A/E/C firms can effectively work with institutional clients to address their challenges, as well as what’s on the horizon regarding design and construction opportunities.

    The panel is composed of:

    • Dan Belyea, Executive Director of Workforce Training at Maine Community College System (MCCS)
    • Brian Clark, Vice President of Planning at Colby College
    • Chip Gavin, System Director of Facilities Management and General Services at University of Maine
    • Eric Mora, Director for Campus Planning at University of New England
